Following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season, Chester Football Club has now confirmed its retained list.

The following players are under contract or have agreed new deals with the club:

Harrison Burke
Zack Clarke
George Glendon
Ollie Heywood
Kevin Roberts
Darren Stephenson
Declan Weeks

The following players have been offered terms for next season:

Anthony Dudley
Sam Turner
Matty Williams

The club remains in discussions with the following players:

David Fitzpatrick
Lloyd Marsh-Hughes
Wyll Stanway

These players have departed the club following the expiry of their contracts:

Simon Grand
Louis Gray
James Hardy
Danny Livesey
Drew Lowe
Rowan Roache
Okera Simmonds
George Waring

James Horsfield has been offered the opportunity to return for pre-season training.

The following loan players returned to their parent clubs at the end of the campaign:

Marcus Dackers
Dan Griffiths
Matt Sargent
Matty Waters
