Residents invited to help shape the future of Whitby Park

Residents, visitors and park users are being invited to help shape the future of Whitby Park by taking part in a new survey that will inform a long-term masterplan for the popular Ellesmere Port green space.

Cheshire West and Chester Council wants to hear from the people who use and value Whitby Park to better understand what improvements they would like to see in the years ahead.

Feedback gathered will help create a phased masterplan that sets out a shared vision for the park and identifies priorities for future investment and improvement.

Whitby Park is one of Ellesmere Port's best-loved community spaces, providing opportunities for recreation, play, sport, nature and relaxation for residents and visitors of all ages.

The Council is keen to ensure that any future plans reflect the needs and aspirations of the local community and is encouraging as many people as possible to have their say.

Cllr Stuart Bingham, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Neighbourhood Pride, said:

"Whitby Park is a valued community asset that is enjoyed by thousands of people each year. We want to make sure that future improvements reflect what matters most to the people who use the park."

Residents can share their views on a range of topics, including park facilities, accessibility, recreation, biodiversity, community activities and future priorities for improvement.

All feedback will be reviewed as part of the master planning process and will help inform future proposals for the park.
