Attentions turn to the Emirates FA Cup this Saturday, as the Blues travel to the North East to take on Darlington.
Drawn together as an all National League North tie, both sides will be eager to progress after just one win apiece this term.
Joint Managers Bern and Jonno have found a reinforcement this week in the versatile James Horsfield, who has signed and is available for the game.
Darlington picked up their first victory of the season on Tuesday, an impressive away win at Brackley Town by three goals to one. Jake Cassidy, Luke Charman and Will Hatfield scored for Alun Armstrong’s side.
The winner of this Second Qualifying Round tie will receive £3,375 as prize money – with the losers getting £1,125.
Should the game finish level after 90 minutes, a replay will take place at the Deva Stadium on Tuesday.

There is no segregation in place this weekend. Although most COVID 19 restrictions will have been lifted, Darlington FC still expect visiting fans to take a sensible approach to social distancing. A QR code will still need to be scanned on entry. Sanitising stations will still be available.
Matchday car parking at Blackwell Meadows is available on a first-come-first-served basis, at £5.00 per car. Please allow a little additional time ahead of the match and at full time to exit the car park.
There are also a number of Blue Badges spaces available, please email dave.watson@darlingtonfc.org ahead of the match to reserve a Blue Badge space.
Alternatively, you may wish to us the numerous town centre car parks. Situated within 20-25 minutes stroll of Blackwell Meadows, charges will apply.
