Police are appealing for information following a serious assault in Malpas.
At 11pm on 23rd February two men left the Crown pub in High Street when there was a verbal altercation which escalated into an assault.
As part of the enquiries into the incident a 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a section 18 assault. He is currently on bail pending further enquiries.
PC Craig Maddocks said:
“I’d urge anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the assault to contact us so that we can progress our enquiries. The same goes for anyone that may have information that could help us with our investigation.”
