Detectives investigating a suspicious incident in Upton have charged a man.
Joshua Enodolomwanyi, of Tennyson Walk, Chester, was arrested on Friday 1 December.
The 50-year-old has since been charged with attempted kidnap and assault by beating.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Monday 4 December, where he was further remanded until a hearing at Chester Crown Court on Friday 5 January.
The charges relate to a suspicious incident on Acres Lane, Upton, shortly before 7.40pm on Thursday 30 December.
