The Art of Now is a whistle-stop tour of Modern Art, of all kinds, from painting to land art to album covers. Taking place at Chester’s Grosvenor Museum, lecture theatre on Sunday 28 June, 2pm to 3.30pm.
Join Adrian Sumner for an entertaining, illustrated talk taking a look at what’s happening in the risky world of Art today.
Adrian will discuss the works of artists from Grayson Perry and Banksy to David Mach and Jack Vettriano.
Adrian is a very engaging and knowledgeable speaker and has lectured at universities, on cruise ships and has undertaken Study Tours with groups to many European destinations.

The Grosvenor Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10.30am to 5pm and Sunday, 1pm to 4pm.
Closed on Monday, but open on Bank Holiday Mondays.
Entry is free but donations are welcome.

About Adrian Sumner
Adrian Sumner trained at Liverpool College of Art (1970 - 73) and has been involved in many aspects of the Visual Arts ever since.
He has lectured at Universities including Birmingham, Liverpool, Ekaterinburg (in the former Soviet Union) and is a Member of the Manchester Academy of Fine Art.
Adrian has lectured on cruise ships for some 25 years and has also undertaken Study Tours to many destinations, including Paris, Vienna, Prague, Venice, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Florence, Rome, Berlin, plus British destinations.
He is an accredited lecturer in The Arts Society (former NADFAS) Directory.
He has organised numerous exhibitions in Britain and abroad, including exchange exhibitions in Italy, France, Germany and the former Soviet Union and works as a professional painter and Illustrator.
