Chester Football Club can confirm that full-back Matty Waters has departed the club.
The 22-year-old has rejected the offer of a new contract at the Deva Stadium in search of regular first team football for the upcoming campaign.
The left-back was restricted to just five starts and five sub appearances in the league last term with CFU Player of the Season Joel Taylor being the regular number three for the Blues.
Waters, a product of the Chester FC Youth Academy, has been in the first team set up since signing his first professional deal in 2016.
He went on to make 67 appearances in the Blue and White, scoring six goals.
Joint Boss Anthony Johnson said: “Matty has been a pleasure to work with over the last two years but he has decided he wants to look elsewhere for his football.
“We wish him well for the future.”
Everyone at Chester FC would like to thank Matty for all of his time and efforts and wish him the very best in the future.
