Chester Football Club has announced two key off-field appointments at the Deva Stadium.
Albert Davies has been promoted to the role of General Manager, with Darren Court joining the club as our new Commercial Manager.
Albert has worked within the club in a full-time capacity for almost six years, beginning as Media & Communications Officer and most recently in the role of Communications Manager & Football Administrator.
The 28-year-old has become a key part of the club’s staff, making important contributions across a range of areas, including commercial, ticketing, fan engagement, and football administration with both the Academy and First Team.
He will now lead the day-to-day operation of the club, working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, and supporters to manage and improve non-footballing activities. The appointment is for an initial six-month period to allow the club to complete a review of its off-field structure.
Meanwhile, we extend a warm welcome to Darren Court following his appointment as Commercial Manager.
Darren has acquired vast experience from similar positions at Preston North End, Port Vale, and AFC Fylde, and joins the Blues with outstanding references from his previous clubs, having been responsible for almost doubling the commercial revenue at AFC Fylde over the last 12 months.
