Residents are invited to share their views on sexual health services in the borough to help develop them for the future.
A good quality sexual health service reduces the number of unplanned pregnancies and incidents of sexually transmitted infections, improving the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities.
Cllr Lisa Denson, Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Cabinet Member for A Fairer Future (Poverty, Public Health and Mental Health), said:
“We would encourage residents to tell us what they think the current services are doing well and what could be improved.
“We’re also keen to hear from people who haven’t used the services to find out if there are any barriers to accessing them and what might make them more accessible in the future.
“The results of the survey will be used by the Council to help design the services for our borough in the future.”
There are currently a range of non-judgemental and confidential sexual health services for residents across Cheshire West and Chester.
These include information and advice on contraception and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), testing and treatment for STIs, an outreach service working in schools, colleges and communities, long-acting reversable contraception, chlamydia screening and emergency contraception.
