A free park and ride service will be available for spectators heading to Mold for the start of Stage Three of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women this Friday.
The service has been arranged by Flintshire County Council to help alleviate parking pressures on what is expected to be a busy and exciting day for the town.
Mold will welcome some of the world’s best cyclists for the prestigious race, part of the UCI Women’s WorldTour, as they embark on Stage Three – a 105km race over the Clwydian Range to the finish line at the Great Orme, Llandudno.
It’s the first time Mold has hosted the start of a Tour stage, as well as being the first time Flintshire has welcomed the Women’s race.
Those travelling into Mold by car are being encouraged to park at County Hall. Two buses will operate continuously between County Hall and Mold Bus Station from 8.30am to 2.30pm. The pick-up point at County Hall will be the bus stop nearest to the Law Courts.
A number of road closures will be in place throughout the day.

Spectators are encouraged to arrive early and plan their journey in advance.
Councillor Chris Dolphin, Cabinet Member for Environment, Regeneration, Countryside and Tourism, said:
“Excitement is really building for what promises to be a spectacular day for Mold.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our county to a national and international audience, while giving local people the chance to experience world-class sport on their doorstep.
“We’re expecting big crowds throughout the day, so please take advantage of the free park and ride service to help minimise congestion if you can.”
