Cheshire West and Chester Students Celebrate Exam Results

Local students are celebrating their A-level and other exam success today, with over 2,300 students in schools and colleges across Cheshire West and Chester welcoming the end of weeks of waiting for their results.   

Provisional A-Level data shows on overall pass rate of 98 percent, with 11 percent of students achieving the A* grades.     

Students across the borough also received other qualifications today, including BTech, International Baccalaureate and Tech Levels.    

Councillor Adam Langan, Cabinet Member for Children and Families, said:  

“Congratulations to everyone who is celebrating today, it is the coming together of huge amounts of hard work by pupils, teachers, parents and carers. I hope that many young people across the borough have been rewarded with results they are proud of, and which will set them up to achieve their goals in the years to come”    

Cheshire West and Chester Council would like to thank all schools and colleges for their commitment to securing the best possible outcomes for their students. The Council also acknowledges the vital role of parents and carers in today's achievements.    

While today is a source of celebration for many, not everyone will have received the results they hoped for. While it is understandable to be disappointed, there is no need for students to panic or feel too low. There are many options open to them, with their schools and colleges ready to help and offer advice for what steps to take next.
