CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division

In a pulsating encounter, Cestrian Alex emerged victorious with a 5-4 win over Kelsall FC in a game filled with end-to-end drama. The hero of the match was Adam Crimes, who delivered a hat-trick to guide his team to victory. Additional goals from Luke Peaker and Josh Camy helped secure the win for Alex. Despite a spirited performance from Kelsall, who managed to score four goals, they ultimately fell just short of completing the comeback.

Handbridge FC secured an emphatic 5-2 win over Christleton FC UDA with a strong team performance. Ryan Bradley netted two goals, with James Underwood, Luke Barratt, and Sam Balderstone each contributing to the scoreline. Despite the loss, Josh Grubu and Farid Robles scored for Christleton FC who will aim to improve on their first outing of the season.

Moreton FC secured a commanding 3-1 victory over Hoole Rangers, maintaining their position at the top of the Premier Division. Despite being reduced to ten men early in the match, Moreton showed resilience, with Anthony Evans netting twice and Charlie Clewlow adding another to seal the win. Hoole Rangers' only consolation came from a deflected own goal, but they struggled to capitalize on their numerical advantage as Moreton held firm to claim all three points.

In a tightly contested match, Hoole Rovers edged past Chester Nomads 3rd with a 3-2 victory. Andy McKibbin was the driving force behind the win, scoring twice to give his team the upper hand. Mitch Barclay added a vital third goal, ensuring Rovers held on to their lead. Despite strong efforts from Chester Nomads, with goals from Danny Reisin and Zacc Caveny, they could not find the equalizer.

Waggon & Horses FC put on a dominant display to defeat Upton JFC 7-3 in an action-packed game. Ryan McCleary was the standout performer, bagging a hat-trick, while goals from Ben Barratt, Calyn Barlow, Robbie Davies, and Aiden Filed added to Upton’s misery. Upton JFC responded with goals from Aaron Rowlands, Joe Williams, and Jack Middleton.

CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship Division

Fender FC mounted a stunning second-half comeback to secure a 6-3 victory over West Kirby 3rd, despite trailing 2-0 at half-time. West Kirby took early control of the game with goals from Jack Waddicar and Adam Evans, going into the break with a solid lead. However, the second half saw a remarkable turnaround, as Leighton Clark led Fender’s resurgence with a hat-trick. Ash Power added a brace, while Jack Reeves and Ben Morris also found the back of the net. Though Danny Wilson scored added a goal for West Kirby, it was not enough to stop Fender from completing their impressive comeback.

In a jaw-dropping match, Ellesmere Port U21 climbed the table with a stunning 9-4 win against Horse & Jockey FC. Jake Pirie was the star of the show, netting four goals to lead his team. Charlie Stelfox and Aaron Worthington each added two, while Joe Huxley rounded out the scoring. Despite a valiant effort from Horse & Jockey, who saw Conor Martin score twice along with goals from Jamie Maddocks and James Fletcher, they remain ninth.

Lache FC secured three points with a 4-1 victory over Sutton Rangers Reserves. With this win, Lache solidifies its place in the top half of the table with twelve points. Warren Kelly was the standout player, scoring a hat-trick, and Dan Radford added another. Sutton Rangers, still struggling for form, remain rooted to the bottom of the league with just one point.

Upton JFC, sitting at the top of the league with fifteen points, continued their unbeaten streak with a 4-2 win over Waggon & Horses FC. Goals from Marco Greig, Ryan Bates, Joe Hall, and Jackson Winning propelled them to victory. Although Shaun Griffiths and Aden Parkers scored for Waggon & Horses, they remain mid-table, with seven points.

In a commanding performance, Whitegate FC cruised to a 7-0 victory against Chester Nomads FC 4th, further solidifying their position in the championship race with thirteen points. Kyle Craven led the scoring with two goals, while Tom Carney, Sam Ellwood, Daz Fox, and Chris Jump each contributed a goal. Chester Nomads, still searching for their first win of the season, remain at the bottom of the standings with just two points.

CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 1

In an exciting clash on Friday, Hooton Vets triumphed over Higher Bebington Kelma Vets with a resounding 4-1 victory in the CWFL Tarvin Vets Division 1. It was good to note the return on two players who have spent time out on the treatment table. Dave Rudge, who made a triumphant return from injury, scoring a hat-trick that showcased his pivotal role in the team's success. Kieron Fleetwood also contributed a goal, moving Hooton up second place with six points from three matches.

On the other side, JP Wheadon returned from his own injury layoff having missed most of last season. Wheadon scored for Higher Bebington, providing a glimmer of hope amidst a challenging game and Kelma will be hoping for more of the same from Wheadon in the coming season.

CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 2

Ellesmere Port Red Lions triumphed over Ashton Vets with a 3-2 victory. Scott Rowley, Dean Williams, and Stuart Booth were on target for the Red Lions, showcasing their attacking prowess. Ashton fought back valiantly, with goals from Felix Jones and Tom Harrison, but ultimately fell short.

In a stunning display, Winsford Vets dominated Birkenhead Vets with an overwhelming 8-2 victory. Steven Warby led the scoring with two goals, while Liam Goulding, David Garstand, Ricky Billinge, Matt Walmsley, Adam Foy, and John Hurst all contributed to the scoreline.  

In a tightly contested battle, Great Float Vets clinched a 1-0 victory over Chester Nomads Vets. Tom Carroll was the match-winner, scoring the only goal of the game. This victory keeps Great Float at the top of the league with a perfect record of nine points from three matches, while Chester Nomads, with just one point from 2 games, will be looking for improvement as they continue their campaign.
