The first meeting of the Proud of Blacon Neighbourhood Board was held on Saturday 11th July, at Matthew Henry Evangelical Church.
The Board, now fully appointed, will steer this government funded initiative
The Board brings together a range of key skills and a variety of experience and consists of:

As well as getting to know each other, the Board agreed a number of key policies and also discussed the appeal they will be making to government by 17th July, to request a change to the boundary for the funding to include all of Blacon.
Revd Tina Upton (Chair) said after the meeting:
“I am very pleased with how our first meeting went, and the amount of commitment board members have to this important project for Blacon. The Board and wider community involvement will help shape the future of our community and make a real difference over the next 10 years. This is a significant first step on this 10-year programme for Blacon."
