Chester foodie favourites unite to raise vital funds for Children Today

Award-winning Walking Food Tours UK has raised £400 for Chester-based charity Children Today Charitable Trust after hosting a special fundraising food tour celebrating some of the city's best independent food and drink venues.

Led by founder Gareth Boyd, guests explored Chester's rich history while enjoying food and drink at local favourites Vin Santo, Pars Kahve and Artezzan. Gareth kindly waived his tour fee, with proceeds supporting Children Today's work helping disabled children and young people across the UK.

Children Today provides life-changing specialist equipment – including adapted trikes, wheelchairs, specialist seating and buggies – to help disabled children become more independent, improve their mobility and enjoy everyday childhood experiences.

Aimee Worsfold, Partnerships Manager at Children Today, said:

"It was a fantastic evening celebrating everything that makes Chester such a special place – its independent businesses, its history and its incredible community spirit.

"As a small charity, opportunities like this not only raise vital funds but also help us reach more people who may not know about the support we provide. Every donation helps us fund specialist equipment that can transform a disabled child's independence, confidence and quality of life."

Walking Food Tours UK showcases Chester's vibrant independent hospitality scene through guided tours combining local history with visits to carefully selected restaurants, cafés and bars, championing the businesses that make the city unique.

Children Today also thanked Pars Kahve and Artezzan, who made additional donations bringing the total amount raised to £400 in support of the charity.
