Detectives investigating the stabbing of a man in Ellesmere Port are appealing for information from members of the public.
The 41-year-old man was located inside a property on Cambridge Road shortly before 4am on Monday 15 August.
He had sustained injuries to his head and stomach and was taken to Aintree Hospital.
Police are appealing to members of the public to come forward with information, CCTV or dash cam footage that could assist with the investigation.
Detective Sergeant Graeme Carvell, of Ellesmere Port local policing unit, said: “We are continuing to piece together the timeline of the assault and are urging members of the public to contact us with information.
“I would also ask residents and nearby businesses to check CCTV footage and for motorists to check their dash cam.
“Any information you can provide – no matter how small – could be really useful to our investigation.”
A 52-year-old local man was arrested at the property on suspicion of section 18 wounding with intent and is currently in police custody awaiting questioning.
