One of Shakespeare’s most iconic plays, The Tempest, came to Bridge Community Farms at the weekend.
The Boaty Theatre Company and Chalice Productions performed a socially distanced performance of the play outdoors, which is set on a mystical fantasy island.
Clair Johnson, General Manager of Bridge Community Farm, said: “The event was a huge success and was completely sold out. We had lots of visitors who also tucked into an afternoon tea picnic box or a curry all made from our on-site café.”
Bridge Community Farms CIC supports people with life-long learning disabilities and mental health issues. They offer outdoor study facilities and work experience for young people who struggle in an academic environment and a variety of activities for the local community.
The gardens contain raised beds, poly tunnels, a craft centre, farm shop and café. The farm delivers organically grown veg boxes across The Wirral and West Cheshire.
