On Friday, an off-road bike was seized by North Wales Police in Holywell.
This was being ridden illegally on a road by an individual, with no PPE or insurance.
It was seized under S165 of the Road Traffic act and is likely to be destroyed.
These individuals are placing their lives, and the lives of pedestrians and other road users, at risk by behaving in this manner.
Are you still having issues in your area in relation to off road bikes?
If so - please consider doing the following:
Provide us with:
- Identification of riders (this helps us to prosecute and give warnings RE dangerous driving or ASB driving warnings)
- Addresses where the bikes are coming from (this allows us to attend and potentially seize the bikes for destruction)
- Dates, times and locations of incidents . (so we can look to increase patrols during peak times)
This can be reported by calling 101, utilising the NWP webchat facility.
