Striker George Waring has agreed a new deal at Chester FC.
The 26-year-old forward will be staying at the Deva Stadium for the 2021/22 season.
George first arrived at the Blues from Tranmere Rovers back in January 2019. It was a return to his hometown club – ten years on from when he started his career in the Chester City Academy.
The attacker has scored 13 goals in 30 starts for the Seals. He scored twice in the curtailed 2020/21 campaign, in both the Emirates FA Cup against Spennymoor and the Buildbase FA Trophy victory versus Bradford (PA).
Joint Manager Anthony Johnson had this to say: “The big man is starving hungry.
“At 26, turning 27 this year, George knows that next season is a big season for him. We were so impressed with him the couple of months before we got curtailed, not just in games but also in training.
“He started to show everyone the best version of himself, dominating opposition defenders and holding the ball up unbelievably well.
“We can’t wait to see next seasons version of George Waring.”
Great to have you staying on board, George!
