A new and exciting community retreat is set to open its doors, bringing a truly unique space dedicated to supporting adults and children with additional needs and SEN.
The project aims to create up to 50 local jobs while providing much-needed social opportunities, short stays, activities, and support services for families across the area.
Designed as a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment, the retreat will offer innovative programmes, community events, and tailored experiences that help individuals thrive, build confidence, and feel connected. The team behind the project say this is only the beginning, with many more ideas and future opportunities already in development to expand the support available locally.
Gill, the new manager, said:
“I have worked in the care sector for over 15 years and have even owned my own care agency, but I have never seen a place as unique and wonderful as this. It really is a must-see for any parents who may be struggling and looking for support.
“Our aim is to create support groups, weekend support, evening sessions, social activities, activity stay opportunities, and so much more for local families and individuals with additional needs. We want this to become a place where people feel supported, valued, and part of a caring community.”
The public is invited to attend the upcoming Open Day to explore the setting, meet the team, and hear more about the vision for the future. Organisers are encouraging local residents, businesses, and community groups to come along, spread the word, and help build something that could make a lasting difference to many lives in the area.
