Man jailed for drug dealing in Chester

A man from Blacon has been jailed after he pleaded guilty to drug dealing in Chester.

Alfie Parker appeared at Chester Crown Court on Monday 18 May, where he pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine) and possession of class B drugs (ketamine).

The 27-year-old, of Stamford Road in Blacon, was sentenced to 27 months in prison and ordered to pay £228 surcharge.

The court heard how Parker was already well known to police due to his previous offending.

On Friday 17th April, officers were on patrol in Blacon when they spotted Parker acting suspiciously on Graham Road.

Parker attempted to evade officers, by running onto the driveway of a nearby property and jumping over a garden fence.

Despite his best efforts, he was quickly located, hiding between two wheelie bins in a nearby garden.

Parker was arrested at the scene, and during a search of the area officers located a bundle of cash hidden behind the wheelie bin, along with a black glasses case, which contained numerous individually wrapped bags of cocaine and a small amount of ketamine.

In total the cocaine was valued at £3,520 cash, and the ketamine was valued at £20.

Following his arrest Parker was later charged with drugs offences.

Following the sentencing Police Constable Giorgia Sharkey said:

“I welcome the sentence handed to Parker and I hope it acts as a warning to others looking to deal drugs in Chester.

“Illegal drugs have a hugely detrimental impact on our communities, and we’re committed to doing all we can to ensure those responsible are held accountable.

“While Parker is now behind bars, our fight against criminals continues."
