Residents are warmly invited to join Samantha Dixon MP for a relaxed coffee morning and open conversation to mark International Women’s Day (IWD) on Saturday 7th March, 10:00am–11:30am.
The informal event will feature a special introduction from Isabel of the Women of Chester Tour and Chester Tourist Information Centre, who will highlight some of the remarkable women who have shaped the rich and long history of our local area.
International Women’s Day has been celebrated for more than a century, since 1911 and this year marks 115th anniversary. It is a global day recognising women’s achievements, raising awareness about discrimination, and taking action to advance gender equality. IWD belongs to everyone who cares about creating a fairer, more inclusive world.
The coffee morning will be a relaxed way to mark International Women’s Day, giving residents the chance to come along for a cuppa, have a chat, and recognise the contribution of women in our community past and present.
Samantha Dixon MP for Chester North and Neston said:
“I’m really looking forward to this event and hope to see residents there for a cuppa as we mark International Women’s Day together. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible women who have contributed so much to our community and to reflect on how we can continue to support equality for all.”
Residents interested in attending are encouraged to contact the Samantha’s office for full location details:
