A local kitchen showroom is throwing open its doors after welcoming Chester running club for its first free collaboration
KUBE Chester is offering local clubs, charities, community organisations and interest groups the opportunity to make use of its showroom space, completely free of charge, following the success of its first community event.
Centrally located near the Greyhound Retail Park, the kitchen showroom recently welcomed The Kilometre Club (KMC) as part of the launch of its new community programme, which aims to transform the space into a hub where people can meet, connect and spend time together.
The event saw runners gather at KUBE before heading out on a social 5K route through the city before returning to the showroom for complimentary food from Bear Bakery, drinks and plenty of merchandise as a parting gift.
The success of the event has already led to an expanded partnership between KUBE and The Kilometre Club, with plans for the running club to host a regular monthly meet-up from the showroom.
The partnership marked the first step in KUBE's vision to redefine what a kitchen showroom can be. While the brand is known for its German-engineered kitchens and transparent pricing model, it believes its showroom can play a bigger role within the local community. More than just somewhere you visit once every seven years or so!
Designed with hospitality and flexibility in mind, the Chester showroom is making itself available, completely free of charge, for local groups looking for a venue to host meetings, workshops, networking events, wellbeing sessions, social gatherings and community activities.
Unlike traditional venue hire spaces, the showroom offers access to a fully equipped kitchen environment, creating opportunities for cooking demonstrations, food-focused events and workshops. The space also features a range of comfortable seating areas and breakout spaces that allow groups to create different zones depending on their needs.
Conveniently located close to Chester city centre, the venue benefits from on-site parking and family-friendly facilities, including dedicated areas designed to help keep children entertained.
The success of the event with KMC and the ongoing partnership it has sparked has already demonstrated the potential of the space, and KUBE is now looking for its next community partner.
Kate Duckworth, Head of Brand Marketing at KUBE, said:
"We were thrilled with the turnout and atmosphere at our first community event alongside The Kilometre Club. It was fantastic to see the showroom being used exactly as we'd hoped, bringing people together, sparking conversations and creating a genuine sense of community.
"One of the most rewarding things has been seeing the partnership continue beyond the event itself. We're now exploring sponsorship opportunities with KMC and will be hosting regular monthly meet-ups at the showroom, which is exactly the kind of lasting community connection we hoped to create.
"The event showed that our showroom can be so much more than a place to buy a kitchen. Whether you're a running club, charity, baby group, book club, local business network or community organisation, we'd love to hear from you. We’re offering access to a modern venue with kitchen facilities, seating areas, breakout spaces, parking and family-friendly features, all without the cost that often comes with hiring a venue elsewhere.
"We're now looking for the next group to make the space their own and continue building on the success of our first community partnership."
Local groups interested in using the showroom can contact Carol at KUBE to discuss their ideas and requirements:
