Pride in Place is a UK-wide grant programme that is investing up to £20 million over 10 years in Ellesmere Port Town & Rossmore.
Expressions of Interest are now being asked for, to join the Ellesmere Port and Rossmore Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board who will decide where and how the funding will be spent.
The Board will be made up of local people, to represent their community. The purpose of the role and person specification highlights the type of local person eligible; a resident, business person, working for a local charity, a local campaigner, a philanthropist, a representative from a school or further education college, a representative from a local NHS Trust, a representative from a faith-based organisation, a representative from a sports club, an arts or cultural practitioner, an innovator.
The ideal Board member will be someone who is committed, engaged and keen to contribute to achieving great success in Ellesmere Port & Rossmore.
This role is voluntary and not remunerated however costs or expenses can be reimbursed. It is expected that the Board duties may take up one to two days per month.
The initial term of appointment will be for three years with an additional three years possible, with the consent of the Chair and Board.

The Expression of Interest should include how you are connected to the geographical area and community that the Neighbourhood Board will represent.
Details should include why you want to join the Board, demonstrating your motivation and commitment to driving change to improve Ellesmere Port & Rossmore.
In addition the Expression of Interest should include the skills, experience or local knowledge you would bring to the Neighbourhood Board.
Deadline for submission of applications is 12 noon Thursday 4th June.
