Caribbean restaurant and bar, Turtle Bay, are set to open their first restaurant in Chester this March at Northgate, the city’s new market and leisure destination.
The brand new 3,000 sq ft restaurant will serve a total of 182 covers (158 inside and 24 outside).
It will be the first Turtle Bay in Cheshire and is expected to open in Spring 2023.
Bringing the magic of the Caribbean to Chester, guests can expect Turtle Bay’s signature beach shack-style decor, a trademark Caribbean-inspired menu, as well as a tried-and-triumphed selection of stunning rum-based cocktails.
Turtle Bay is the ultimate all-day hangout destination thanks to its extensive menu of vibrant Caribbean soul food. A feast of island-inspired dishes and incredible cocktails take guests from morning through to night time with brunch dishes and small plates, smokin’ jerk pit barbecue, warming curries, salads, rotis, wraps and beautiful burgers all on the menu. There’s also a huge collection of vegan and vegetarian alternatives, sharing and grazing dishes and affordable bites meaning there’s something for all tastes and occasions, whether it’s an after-work cocktail, date night, or big family get-together.
Fran Toal, Regional Operations Manager at Turtle Bay commented:
“We can’t wait to bring the Caribbean social to Chester. We’re really excited to be opening our very first Cheshire restaurant in such a beautiful city with a thriving food and drink scene. The menu features the best Caribbean soul food and cocktails and we know it’s going to be a big hit. We’re already busy behind the scenes and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store Chester.”
Councillor Richard Beecham, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Growth, Economy & Regeneration in Chester, commented: "I am very pleased to welcome Turtle Bay to Northgate, it will be a vibrant and unique addition to the range of food and drink already on offer. Chester's food scene draws influence from across the globe, and I am sure Turtle Bay's tropical flavours and reggae sounds will be a hit with residents and visitors to our city."
Turtle Bay Chester is also looking for people to join Turtle Bay with a range of positions available both front and back of house. If this is of interest, keep an eye out on the Turtle Bay website for more information closer to the time.
More news of the opening will follow soon and in the meantime fans can sign up to the Bay Club App for a chance to win tickets to the opening events and exclusive access to updates, offers and advance bookings ahead of the new opening.
