Did you get married at Cornist Hall? Did you go to a Christmas party at Courtaulds? Were you a Rayon or Football Queen?
Why not pop into Flint Library on Saturday, December 9 and share your stories of special celebrations in Flint, from personal family occasions to big town events.
The event is part of ‘Off Flint’ – celebrating the town, castle and coast in an exciting project involving local people in recording, conserving, and celebrating the rich heritage of Flint town.
We would love to see any photographs which we can scan on the day or any artefacts or memorabilia you may have from events.
Material gathered will form the basis of a permanent archive in the library to show how celebrations have changed, or not, over the years.
There is also a free Christmas craft workshop where you can make some traditional decorations including paper chains and snowflakes.
Drop in anytime between 10.30am and 12.30pm – there will be free tea, coffee and cake.
