Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a burglary at a convenience store in Tarporley.
At around 10.25pm on Monday 4th May police were called to reports of an alarm activation at the Spar store and petrol station on High Street, Tarporley.
Officers attended the scene and on arrival they found that a fire door had been forced open and a CCTV camera had been tampered with.
The suspects are believed to have been disturbed by the alarm activation and fled the store empty handed.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information or footage which may the investigation.
Pollice Constable Grace Rimmer, of Northwich Local Policing Unit said:
"The investigation is currently in its early stages, and we are following a number of lines of enquiry, including CCTV and forensics.
“As part of the enquiries I want to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident and may have witnessed anything suspicious.
“I’m also keen to hear from any residents in the Eaton Road and Nantwich Road areas who may have any CCTV or Doorbell footage of a dark Audi estate car which is believed to be linked to the incident. The car travelled to the scene along Eaton Road and was later seen fleeing the area at speed along Nantwich Road.
“The same goes for anyone with any dashcam footage of the car.
“I urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to call the team here at Northwich on 101, quoting IML-2322292.”
