Detectives investigating a robbery in Ellesmere Port are appealing for information from members of the public.
A 45-year-old man was on his electric bike when he saw a woman laid on the floor of an alleyway on Percival Road.
When he engaged with the woman, he was approached by two men who attacked him and tried to steal his wallet.
The victim ran away and returned a short time later to find his bike was still in the road.
The two men attacked him again causing him to sustain an injury to his eye.
The pair were then seen walking over Westminster Bridge onto Princess Road with the bike.
The robbery occurred on Percival Road at 5pm on Friday 17 June.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the two men with the bike, or have information in relation to the assault, to come forward.
Detective Constable Yasmin Walch said: “The victim was left scared and frightened by what happened and we’re appealing for anyone who has information to get in touch.
“At the time the robbery occurred it would have been busy with cars driving past and people walking in the area.
“I therefore want to encourage anyone who may have witnessed the men or the attack and have information which could assist with our investigation to contact us.”
