The Cheshire West Community and Voluntary Arts Awards are back, and it’s time to shine a spotlight on the people and projects making a difference through the arts.
Nominations are open for inspiring projects, organisations, leaders, and volunteers who bring creativity to life across local communities. Whether it’s music, theatre, visual arts, or other arts initiatives, this is a chance to celebrate those who make art accessible, meaningful, and transformative.
Supported by Cheshire West and Chester Council and the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the awards are now in their ninth year, honouring the outstanding contributions of the voluntary arts sector at a special Awards Evening on Monday 16 March at Theatre Porto, Ellesmere Port.
Maria Byrne, Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Director of Environment and Communities said:
“The arts can do so much for local communities: improving wellbeing, bringing joy, connection and raising funds for good causes. Every year, we hear stories of dedication and passion that deserve recognition.
“Please nominate who you think should take centre stage this year. A past attendee described the event as a truly wonderful evening. Let’s celebrate the creativity that makes Cheshire West thrive.”
Nominate today and help celebrate the creativity that strengthens communities. Any group or individual delivering arts activity can nominate themselves or be nominated by others.
