Calum McIntyre’s men can go seven unbeaten on Saturday as the Seals travel to Yorkshire to face Farsley Celtic, who sit in 14th.
Wyll Stanway will look to make it 20 clean sheets for the season at The Citadel and the recent unbeaten run has been built on an immense defensive record, with just two goals going past Stanway in that period.
THE OPPOSITION:
The Celts narrowly avoided relegation last campaign, ending the season just one point above 21st placed Kettering Town.
Results have improved this season leaving Farsley in mid table, nine points above the drop zone but 12 points off the playoffs.
Celtic has been in mixed form recently, with two wins, two draws and two losses in 2024. Both victories have come at home though, beating Scarborough Athletic and Bishop’s Stortford at The Citadel.
THE GAFFER:
Former EFL stalwart Clayton Donaldson has held a player/manager role at the club since being announced before the beginning of this season.
Donaldson had extensive spells at Crewe Alexandra, Brentford and Birmingham City, appearing over 100 times for each, before moving on to Sheffield United, Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City in his later years.
The forward has had a major impact in his first managerial job following the aforementioned relegation scrap last campaign.
ONE TO WATCH:
Captain Chris Atkinson is a club legend and recently made his 300th appearance for the Celts, an achievement which puts him 2nd in terms of overall appearances since the club reformed.
The midfielder joined in 2017 from Salford City after spells with Crewe Alexandra, Bradford City and Huddersfield Town.
Chris is often joined in midfield by his younger brother Ben Atkinson and the pair both got on the scoresheet in the recent 3-1 win over Bishop’s Stortford.
The younger of the two has scored vital goals at times for Farsley this season, including an injury-time equaliser against South Shields and a brace from the penalty spot in a 2-0 victory over Boston United.
