Our teams have delivered exceptional results in challenging times, maintaining and enhancing our parks and green spaces with unwavering dedication. But this success is not ours alone, it belongs to the hundreds of volunteers who give their time, energy and passion to support our maintenance teams. Their work is the heartbeat of our borough’s environmental pride."

The Britain in Bloom initiative, led by the Royal Horticultural Society, is one of the UK’s most respected environmental campaigns. It promotes civic pride, encourages sustainable practices, and celebrates the power of communities working together to create cleaner, greener, and more beautiful places to live.

This year’s awards highlight how collaboration between council services and local volunteers can transform public spaces and foster a sense of belonging and wellbeing.
