Wirral DFA Amateur Cup semi-final

Congratulations to Neston Nomads Reserves who progressed through to the Final of the Wirral DFA Amateur Cup final after defeating West Cheshire 3rd Division side Capenhurst Reserves. Gabe Kwateng gave Capenhurst the lead in the 75th minute, but a towering header from Will Suker 5 minutes later drew Neston level and send the game to penalties. Goalkeeper Kyle Ravenscroft was the hero as he made a crucial save in sudden death to secure a brilliant win for Oscar Ratnaike and Richard Sukers Men.

Wirral FA Junior Cup

Congratulations also to Mersey Royal Vets who will meet old rivals Hooton Vets in the Wirral FC Junior Cup final after defeating another 3rd Division West Cheshire side in Groves Athletic. A Steuy Jones 30-yard thunderbolt got Royal started and further strikes from Danny Edwards, Anthony Cotgrave and Andy Robinson gave Royal a 4-1 victory.

In CWFL Queensferry Sports Premier Division

Moreton FC lifted themselves off the foot of the table with a brilliant 6-3 against new look FC Farndon.  Moreton had double heroes in Ash Jameson and Jordan Chwalkwo plus singles from Josh Abbot and a 25-yard volley from Sam Dunne.  Farndon’s consolation goals came via Iwan Nevitt, Joel Nevitt and a 30- yard screamer from San Williams.

Christleton FC moved up to second with a fine 3-0 against Sutton Rangers. Alan Bond, Joe Bowdler and Zacc Caveney were all on target for Christleton.

In CWFL Olympic Trophies Championship

Hoole Rovers went goal crazy in defeating Cheshire Vikings.  Toni Maletta bagged himself a treble, Aaron Rowlands a double and Jake Gould, Andy McGibbon, Jack Rowlands, and Jack Booth all got singles as Hoole ran out 9-1 winners.

CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 3

Tarvin Vets had Matt Andrews in red hot form as he bagged a four timer against Parkfield Vets. Parkfield had Stephen Robinson, Kevin pink and Ian Mitchell on target but thanks to Andrews, Tarvin won 4-3.

In another high scoring game Eastham Vets defeated FC Farndon Vets 5-3.  Joe McAnespie helped himself to a hat-trick to go along with efforts from Dave Sadler and Rich Courtney.  FC Fardon replied with a double from Carlos Cesar and a single from Craig Williams.

Upton JFC Vets and Chester Nomads Vets shared a point each with the game ending 2-2. David Smith bagged a brace for Upton, with Si Andrew and Hayden Evans the marksmen for Nomads.

CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 4

The only game in Division 4 was an eight-goal thriller between Hoole Rangers Vets and Hartford Vets. In a game that had eight different goal scorers, Hartford had Dan Bowen, Marcelo Pereira, Chris Crawford, and Jordan Oldham on the scoresheet whilst netting for Hoole was Dan Eborall, Adam Roper, Rich Whincup and Jim Hawkley.

CWFL Tarvin Precision Vets Division 5

Kevin Valentine, Ant Ollier, and a Rob Davies winning wonder strike gave Frodsham Vets Reserves a 3-2 victory against Rake and Pikel. Pete Wheeler and Luke Bedson scored Pikel’s consolation goals.

Witton Albions vets hit seven without reply against Crossway vets, Oliver James netted a hat-trick, Mike Brandon a double whilst Chris Latham and Dave Shore both got singles.
