Two men have been jailed for drug dealing in Ellesmere Port.
Eamon Ryan, 25, and Jack Mundy, 24 were both found guilty of being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis at an earlier hearing.
Both men appeared at Chester Crown Court on 5 June 2023 to be sentenced.
Ryan, from Riverside Park, Garden City, Deeside, was sentenced to 54 months in prison. Mundy, of Ewloe Court, Ellesmere Port, was sentenced to three years in prison.
In February 2023 officers from Ellesmere Port Proactive Team commenced a detailed investigation which used telecoms and phone evidence to show that the two men were involved in the supply of cocaine and cannabis in the Ellesmere Port area. Evidence showed that Ryan was in charge of the drug dealing operation and employed Mundy as a street dealer. The investigation came to a conclusion on Friday 24 March 2023, when police carried out search warrants at addresses connected to Ryan and Mundy.
At Ryan’s address they seized two phones, one of which was confirmed as the drug graft phone and high value clothing running into thousands of pounds.
At Mundy’s address 67 bags of cannabis were seized along with drug paraphernalia and an iPad. Examination of the phones and iPad provided further evidence of their drug dealing.
DC Phil Hunt said: “This is just one of many cases we have brought to court to tackle drug dealing in Cheshire. We will continue to find those peddling misery in our communities and bring them before the courts to face the consequences of their actions.
“Ryan also faces a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing to order any money believed to have been earned through ill-gotten gains be seized. “
