Storyhouse reveals a fun-packed programme of kid’s events and activities for the February half term

The half term programme for children and their families takes place from Saturday 18th February to Sunday 26th February, and as always, Storyhouse has committed to keep its prices as low as possible.

The week includes a Secret Spy School, theatre, dance workshops, catwalks, cinema, henna tatooing and arts and crafts.   
 
The packed week of fun begins with an endearing theatre show for little ones. Goofus Theatrepresent their new family showMoonsmile on Saturday 18 & Sunday 19 February. Blending music with movement, puppetry, play, and mask this nonverbal performance will immerse audiences in storytelling, creating a space for young imaginations to thrive.  
 
Also on the 19 February families are invited to a day of arts and crafts, henna tattooing, and Arabic calligraphy as part of Meet Your Muslim Neighbour - a voluntary organisation that aims to promote social cohesion, break down barriers and educate about teachings of Islam. 
 
On Tuesday 21 and 23 Thursday February the Young Storyhouse team will be leading Storyhouse Secret Spies Training Academy for children aged 6-11. Agent Jacob and the team will help participants learn new skills, perfect existing ones, earn their Secret Spy badge and make new friends!  
 
On Friday 24 February, children aged six and up and their families can learn to pose and vogue like a supermodel in the Feeling Fabulous Dance Workshop with Ghetto Fabulous dance company.   
Afterwards families are invited to bring their glitz and glamour to the Family Catwalk ExtravaganzaIn this fabulous celebration of self-expression, four professional dancers go head to head in a dance, fashion and lip sync competition and an interactive audience will decide the winner.  
 
Meanwhile in the cinema, families can catch Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (PG) every day from Friday 17 – Thursday 23 February. Everybody’s favourite swashbuckling feline is back witha new, unmissable adventure from the Shrek universe.  
 
Plus, the Storyhouse library team will be hosting FREE arts and crafts and games all week long for families to come and get creative together including making and playing board games and a day of LEGO.
