More than 100 school children are taking over Chester Zoo for the day!
On 6 July, kids from various schools in the region will do everything from running conservation education programmes, workshops and animal talks to Chester Zoo’s visitors.
You’ll see kids on the microphone at the penguin pool talking to dozens of visitors about the threats they face due to our changing climate, children at the orangutans talking about deforestation and how we can all make a difference by making sensible choices when shopping, and lots more.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to have a voice for nature and to champion key environmental messages to visitors, from the impact of climate change, unsustainable palm oil to why so many precious species are on the bridge of extinction.
