The Post Office is proposing to relocate Broughton Post to Thrifty’s, 7 Broughton Hall Road, Broughton, Chester, CH4 0QR, where it will continue to operate as one of their local style branches.
The Postmaster has identified an opportunity to move this branch into an alternative new location to continue to offer Post Office services to the local community and with extended opening hours.
There would be two Post Office counters alongside the retail counter.
The new opening hours would be Monday to Saturday: 7am – 10pm; Sunday: 9am – 10pm. This is 103 hours of Post Office service a week for the convenience of customers.
This is significantly longer opening hours than currently as the branch would be open daily. It would open all-day Sunday and Saturday afternoon. Also, it would open earlier and close much later every day for the convenience of customers. This would be an extra 55 hours of Post Office service a week.
The current branch is already in Broughton Hall Road – around 30 metres away.
We are now starting a period of local consultation. We would like your views on access and the service offered at the new location. We are looking for feedback about accessibility, local community issues and anything that we can do to make life easier for our customers.
Consultation will close on 16 November 2021. Customers can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 319614.
Submissions can also be made via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS, or by telephone 03452 66 01 15 or Textphone 03457 22 33 55.
