Police are appealing for witnesses after three men were assaulted at Chester Racecourse.
At around 5pm on Saturday 31st May the men, aged 56, 33 and 42, were assaulted during an altercation with two other men.
The 56-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital - he is now recovering at home.
DC Craig Logan said:
“I’d urge anyone who was at the races that day and witnessed the incident to contact us so that we can progress with our enquiries.”
Two men aged 27 and 49, from the Middleton area were arrested and have since been bailed.
