Overnight lane closures along the M6 in Cheshire will get underway next Monday

National Highways is resurfacing large sections of the carriageway along the four miles between junction 19 at Knutsford and junction 20 at Lymm. All the work will be done overnight between 10pm and 5am (7am at weekends) when traffic along the motorway is at its lightest.

The work will be delivered with an emphasis on keeping the motorway open to drivers; the resurfacing will be done using lane closures only.  A limited number of carriageway closures will be needed at the end of the project in March.
Drivers are advised to check traffic conditions before setting out on journeys.
