Operation Sceptre

Operation Sceptre is a week-long targeted approach across all 44 forces in England and Wales that is aimed at tackling knife crime and raising awareness of its impact.

Surrender bins will be appearing at locations throughout the Chester Local Policing Unit area, as well as the main Blacon Police Station.

Any bladed article you wish to dispose of safely, can be placed in the bins.

If you are unable to attend personally to dispose of an item, but still wish to hand it over, you can contact your local PCSO to arrange a collection.

Although, sadly, knife crime is on the increase nationally, here in Cheshire it is not a major problem.
