A man from Chester has been jailed for more than three-and-a-half years for drugs supply offences in Northwich and Winsford.
Dylan Wilson, 27, of Windsor Road, Chester, was sentenced to three years and seven months at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday 30 August after previously pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply of class A and B drugs.
The case began after a warrant was executed on Friday 28 May 2021 at Austin Close, Winsford, under the misuse of drugs act, an address which Wilson was linked to.
He was seen nearby at the time of the warrant, in which class A drugs were found in an outside bin.
Wilson was subsequently arrested on Wednesday 9 June 2021 at an address on Fryer Road, Northwich, as part of enquiries.
Following his arrest, a search warrant was conducted at the Northwich address, where officers recovered a quantity of cash and three mobile phones. Wilson was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drugs offences before being released under investigation.
Officers conducted enquiries and one of the devices showed evidence of drug dealing. Wilson was then charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis.
Winsford BEAT Sergeant Paul Cundy said:
“In interview, Wilson originally attempted to deny being involved in the sale and supply of controlled drugs, but thanks to the efforts of our officers, evidence was secured against him, and his offending has been put to a stop.
“As well as bringing Wilson to justice, we hope this sentence provides reassurance to residents that we will act on any information brought to our attention about drugs offences in the community.
“If you would like to report any information regarding controlled drugs, please contact us using our website via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or call 101.”
