Officers in Neston have charged a man with attempted murder.
Shaun Murphy, 47, was arrested on Saturday 25th July in the Millfield area of Neston.
Murphy, of Rockybank Road in Tranmere, has since been charged with one count of attempted murder.
He appeared at Chester Magistrates' Court on Monday 27th July, where he was remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 24 August.
The charges relate to a collision which occurred at around 4pm in the Millfield area, where a 52-year-old man sustained serious injuries.
As part of enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident, officers are keen to speak to anyone with any information, or who witnessed the incident, to get in touch.
In particular, officers are looking to identify speak to:
- A man believed to be riding a bike in the area at the time of the incident
- The driver of a white Fiat 500 that pulled up to the scene
- Members of the public who stopped at the scene to provide emergency first aid to the victim
Officers are also keen to speak to anyone who may have relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the Millfield, Reins Court, and Millcroft areas from around the time of the incident.
