ORIGINAL APPEAL:

Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following three attempted burglaries in Ellesmere Port.

Between 4.50pm and 6pm on Monday 4 July police were called to three incidents in the Stanney area of the town.

The first occurred at around 4.55pm when a man entered an address on Thornton Road and threatened the occupant with a stanley knife. He then fled the scene empty handed – travelling in the direction of Oval Court.

Finally, at 5.50pm, the man gained entry into an address on Girton Road. He subsequently fled the scene empty handed after being confronted by the occupants.

Officers were deployed to the scene and conducted a thorough search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

On all three occasions the suspect was described as a man who was wearing dark clothing.
