Key dates confirmed for the 2026/27 Enterprise National League season

The key dates for supporter's diaries were confirmed by the National League, with FA Cup and Trophy round dates also published.

Here are the confirmed key dates for the National League system…

Fixture release day Friday 10 July 2026
Opening day Saturday 8 August 2026
Final day Saturday 24 April 2027
Promotion Finals weekend Saturday 8 May/Sunday 9 May 2027
Christmas fixtures Saturday 26 December/Monday 28 December 2026*
New Year’s fixture Saturday 2 January 2027*

*Clubs may request to move their Bank Holiday Monday (28 December) fixture to Tuesday 29 December (7.45pm) or their Saturday 2 January fixture to New Year’s Day (1 January) subject to mutual agreement between both clubs within seven days of fixture release.

Confirmed FA Cup and FA Trophy round dates

National League North and National League South clubs join the FA Cup at the second qualifying round with National League clubs joining two rounds later at the fourth qualifying round stage.

Confirmed round dates are as follows:

Second Round Qualifying: Saturday 19 September 2026
Third Round Qualifying: Saturday 3 October 2026
Fourth Round Qualifying: Saturday 17 October 2026
First Round: Saturday 7 November 2026
Second Round: Saturday 5 December 2026
Third Round: Saturday 9 January 2027
Fourth Round: Saturday 13 February 2027
Fifth Round: Saturday 6 March 2027
Quarter Final: Saturday 3 April 2027
Semi Final: Saturday 24 April 2027
Final: Saturday 22 May 2027

In the FA Trophy, National League North and National League South clubs enter at the Second Round stage with National League sides entering one round later at the Third Round stage.

Third Round: Saturday 12 December 2026
Fourth Round: Saturday 16 January 2027
Fifth Round: Saturday 6 February 2027
Sixth Round: Saturday 6 March 2027
