Learners across Flintshire schools are celebrating as they receive their GCSE results.
Councillor Mared Eastwood, Cabinet Member for Education, Welsh Language, Culture and Leisure said:
“The Council is very proud of our learners for the hard work that has led to them receiving their results today. We are delighted for their achievements.
“I wish them every success in the next steps of their learning, whether that is through post -16 education or through training or employment.”
Chief Officer, Education and Youth, Claire Homard, said:
“I am very pleased to send my congratulations to all of our learners receiving their results today. They should be enormously proud of themselves.
“I recognise the efforts of parents and carers in supporting their children through many years of education, and I thank them for working in successful partnership with our schools. I thank our school staff for their support, dedication and commitment to ensuring that our pupils are given every opportunity to succeed.
“As we look forward to a new academic year, I wish our learners every success in their next steps. I know our schools will continue to provide support and advice about future pathways and preparing for September."
