Local shoppers have been asking for toilets in Eastgate Square and the centre has been listening.
Work is now well underway to install modern and beautifully designed facilities in the shopping centre on the first floor of the unit that previously housed Topshop.
Opening this year, the facilities will feature a contemporary design and high-quality finishes, reflecting the centre’s ongoing programme of improvements aimed at enhancing the overall visitor experience.
Gary Martin, Director at Martin Property Group, said:
"This is one of those improvements that might sound simple, but it makes a huge difference to those visiting the centre. As we continue to invest in Eastgate Square, it’s important that the space works for everyone, whether they’re here for a quick visit or spending a few hours shopping, eating and enjoying the city."
Lisa Rogers, Centre Manager at Eastgate Square, added:
"We’ve heard the question more times than we can count, ‘When are the toilets coming back?’, so it’s incredibly satisfying to finally say that they’re on their way.
These new facilities will be modern, comfortable and located in a really convenient place for visitors. Alongside the wider improvements happening across the centre, they’re another step towards making Eastgate Square a place people can rely on."
Once complete, the new facilities will make it easier for visitors to relax, spend longer in the centre and enjoy everything Eastgate Square has to offer.
After all, the best shopping trips are the ones where everything you need is right where you need it.
