A local theatre company is offering young budding musical theatre stars the chance to perform on stage in a large West End style Musical with rehearsals due to begin in Chester in the new year.
Community theatre company Tip Top Productions are seeking talented youngsters to join their upcoming production as part of the Childrens Choir in the popular West End musical "Joseph and The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat" which will be staged at Theatr Clwyd, near Mold in February. The show follows on from the sell-out success of their production of "CATS" last year.
Speaking about the opportunity to be part of Tip Top's next production, the company's Artistic Director Steve Davies said
"Our Joseph cast are well into rehearsals now and as they concentrate on learning routines, harmonies & lyrics, our attention turns to the Childrens Choir as we are looking for some additional children to be part of the show and to join the Kids Choir we already have in place - we are particularly interested in hearing from any boys who would be interested. There are going to be 2 teams of 30 children in each choir and they will perform alternate shows. Due to licensing restrictions all children will need to be 9 years of age on the first day of the show & there is an upper age limit of 15 on all children and boys should have unbroken voices.
It's a great opportunity for any child who loves performing as the kids choir take part in the whole show and will be onstage for most of the duration of it. Rehearsals for the children start on the 17th January and will take place in Chester - we have a short rehearsal period of 4 weeks with the show taking place on 14th-18th February in Theatr Clwyd, Mold."
