COVID-19 - An Update from West Cheshire Foodbank

West Cheshire Foodbank have aimed to create new ways of working that reflect their core values and strategic aims and which will offer a positive legacy beyond the crisis.

The COVID-19 pandemic has created tremendous turbulence for us, necessitating the reinvention of most aspects of our work in the course of a few weeks!  At West Cheshire Foodbank we have also aimed to create new ways of working that reflect our core values and strategic aims, and which will offer a positive legacy beyond the crisis. Staff, trustees and volunteers have put in a huge amount of work, and coped with an enormous amount of change in a very short space of time. This has included the implementation of an entirely new e-voucher system.

We also want to express our grateful thanks to individuals and businesses who have made donations of food and funds to enable us to keep going over the last couple of weeks.  Particular thanks to CF Fertilisers and Essar Oils amongst others for their substantial financial donations!

To view our full update from 18th April including details of recent changes and plans for the near future you can go to our website: https://westcheshire.foodbank.org.uk/2020/04/18/update-18-april-2020-a-thank-you/.   Please be on the lookout for more recent updates as they are posted, since the situation is changing daily.

A massive thanks to Phil and everyone at Weetwood Ales who are using their production facilities to produce hand sanitiser for local organisations such as ourselves - we just took delivery of ours which is vital for volunteers to stay safe and carry on their great work!

Also a massive thanks to Mark Swann and his Team from British Gas collecting and delivering food for us - donated from Tesco.

If you have been / are planning to support us during this time please let us know or tag us on social media so we can share and encourage others to do the same. Apologies if we have not thanked everyone personally at this time, as I'm sure you can appreciate we are currently extremely busy.
