Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme - The Latest Figures

On 20 April, the government launched the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

Between launch and midnight on 22 April we have received:

435,000 claims
Covering 3.2m employees*
Amounting to £3.75bn

* these are rounded figures and some people may be included more than once if they’ve been furloughed for more than one pay day or have more than one furloughed job.

Further guidance is available and there is an easy to use, step-by-step guide that takes you through the process.
