A well-known local family have taken over the management of their hotel again, The Holiday Inn A55 Chester West after years of the hotel being managed by a management franchise.
Malcolm Davies a well-known local businessman and his wife Edna, built the hotel over 30 years ago, and whilst Malcom and his daughters Caroline and Jennifer initially managed the hotel successfully for a number of years when they first owned it, the hotel was laterally managed by a hotel management group.
However, in 2021, they made the decision to take over the management of the hotel themselves again and bring the standard of the facilities and the quality of the service back under their personal direction and back up to the high standard they expect for their guests, over 22 Years since they were last at the helm.
Since then, the hotel has gone from strength to strength again, with guests who once had their weddings at the hotel returning for anniversary parties or their children’s engagement parties and other family occasions.
Jennifer, Malcolm’s daughter is now the General Manager of the hotel again, and Caroline, Malcolm’s daughter is the Operations Manager. Harriet, Malcolm’s granddaughter is the Sales and Marketing Executive at the hotel, and other members of the family work in different parts of the hotel.
This fabulous team were recently awarded the ‘Going for Gold Leaders’ Award by IHG the Holiday Inn group reflecting the quality of service, attention to detail since they took over again, recognition for achieving one of the highest ‘Guest Love and Loyalty’ targets within IHG, the worldwide hotel group of which the Holiday Inn A55 Chester West is part of. The award reflects all the work the family have done since they returned and they cant wait to welcome people back to the hotel.
