Chester FC Community Trust is hosting a Chester FC Summer Club for children through the school holidays at the Deva Stadium.
Youngsters will be able to take part in fun, safe activities in line with current Government and FA guidance, offering parents and guardians the opportunity to access quality holiday provision across five weeks.
During what has been a challenging and uncertain period for everyone, Covid-19 and the introduction social distancing means young people and children have been unable to play sport, exercise or interact with friends.
With support from Chester FC, the Community Trust is able to offer a safe return to play to support children’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
From Monday 27th July until Friday 28th August, we will be running two sessions each day for boys & girls aged 5-15. Small groups of five children will take part in warm ups, skill development activities and games with Community Trust coaches.
Each session costs £15 and places are limited with advance booking essential. We will have a range of measures in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone in attendance, including temperature checks, regular sanitizing, disinfecting of equipment and the use of PPE.
Jim Green, CEO of the Community Trust, said: “We are very pleased to be able to offer our popular holiday provision for children and parents this summer.
“The structure and format of the sessions will be different to what we are all used but we are confident we can provide a fun, safe and enjoyable experience in line with Government, FA and Sport England guidance.
“We would like to place on record our thanks to Chester FC and Cheshire West & Chester Council for their support and assistance.”
