Chester Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Declan Weeks.
The 24-year-old central midfielder has put pen to paper following an extremely successful trial spell with the club during pre-season.
Weeks has spent the last three seasons at fellow National League North side Kidderminster Harriers. He made 93 appearances whilst at Aggborough, scoring six goals and contributing an impressive haul of 18 assists from the centre of the park.
The former Welsh Under-21 international began his career at Wolves, before having a spell at Southport – then joining the Harriers following a trial period in the summer of 2017.
Part of this deal with Declan has been financed thanks to your incredible support during our Boost the Budget campaign!

Joint Manager Anthony Johnson had this to say: “In what are obviously unprecedented times in general and in football we have had to be prudent and frugal in terms of our recruitment this year.
“As such, only a single player had been on a target list for us. We’re ever so grateful to Dec for waiting and understanding the predicament we have been in over the last few months.
“His patience shows what great character the lad has and, on top of his undoubted football ability, we’re signing a fantastic person.
“Although it’s only a short-term deal initially due to current conditions, we know he’ll be a player that makes a huge impact for us going forward.”
